Whirlwind

The last few weeks have been quite a whirlwind. After a series of several tests including CT scan, Bronchoscopy, PET scan, MRI, and several doctor visits in between I have officially been diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Ugh! It's CANCER! Like a whirlwind, air whirling violently and moving forward, I have been tossed around by winds of emotion, fear, anger, everything. Today I am resolved to move forward with purpose.

The Psalms say, God is my refuge and strength He is my present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. God shall help her, just at the break of dawn...The Lord of hosts is with us.

The Lord is with me! I will have major lung surgery in two weeks. Depending on the outcome of the surgery a combination of radiation and chemotherapy will be determined.

Thank you all for your love and support! I feel your prayers.
